Anvi
Uninstaller is a handy tool to help users conveniently and efficiently
uninstall unwanted programs. It delivers convenient safety and sliming fronted
by an interface that showcases a few menus, including all programs, recently
installed, large programs and system patches, for convenient look-up.
Anvi
Uninstaller is a lightweight and portable software application that enables
users to remove installed programs from their computer easily. It includes
several useful options that can be handled by all user levels, even by people
with no previous experience in advanced uninstallers.
Since
there is no setup pack involved, you can drop the executable file anywhere on
the hard disk and just click it to run.
It
is also possible to save Anvi Uninstaller to a USB flash disk or similar
storage unit, in order to run it on any computer effortlessly and without
previously installing anything.
What's
more, the Windows registry does not get updated with new entries, and leftovers
are not kept on the hard disk, leaving it clean after removal.
The
interface resembles the one of IObit Uninstaller version 2. Actually, it has an
identical structure. A list with all installed products is immediately
populated at startup, and you can view their name, size and install date, along
with further information on selected entries, namely publisher and help link.
These
programs may be sorted according to their install date and size. Plus, Anvi
Uninstaller facilitates access to uninstalling Windows patches in the same
manner. A search function is provided for quickly locating a particular
product. Last but not least, you can view log details.
The
uninstallation process is carried out in three steps. It starts with creating a
system restore point but this option can be disabled. Next, Anvi Uninstaller
runs the program's default uninstaller, after which it supposedly scans for
leftover items in the Windows registry and hard drive. This option is not
available in the free edition, though.
Anvi
Uninstaller uses low CPU and RAM. However, it takes a long time to create a
system restore point, and even to proceed with to the next step when canceling
it. Although it tries to mimick IObit Uinstaller, it doesn't do a very good job
at it.
